Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.specsimulations.com and the SPEC Simulations 3D configurator at configurator.specsimulations.com (together, the "Services"), operated by SPEC AUTO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY (HONG KONG) CO., LIMITED, doing business as SPEC Simulations ("SPEC Simulations", "we", "us"). By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence to make a purchase. Customer accounts use passwordless sign-in (a one-time email code) or, where available, sign-in with Google or Facebook. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping access to your email and social accounts secure.

2. Products and orders

  • Our 282 rigs are anodized to your configuration in scheduled production runs; our other products are stocked goods. Build and delivery timelines shown on product pages are estimates, not guarantees, and may vary with demand and component availability.
  • All prices are in US dollars. We may correct pricing or descriptive errors, and we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order (with a full refund if payment was taken) ‚Äî for example, in cases of suspected fraud or pricing errors.
  • Product images, including configurator renders, are for illustration; minor variations in color and finish may occur between renders and the physical product.

3. Payment

Payment is processed at checkout by Shopify and its payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number. Full payment is collected at checkout; we do not require deposits or installment payments.

4. Shipping, returns, and cancellations

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy, and returns and refunds by our Refund Policy. What you can cancel, and until when, depends on whether we are making your order or shipping it. Items made to your configuration — anodized in the colors you chose — can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before that run's cutoff date; after the cutoff the parts are in production for your order alone and it can no longer be cancelled. Items that are a preorder of stock already on its way to us, rather than made to your specification, can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before they ship. Your product page and your order confirmation state which applies to your order and the exact date.

5. The configurator and saved builds

  • We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the configurator to design and purchase builds.
  • Saved builds are stored with your account. A saved build can produce a shareable link; anyone with that link can view and load the build configuration.
  • Saved builds are a convenience, not a quote: the price and availability of a saved build are determined at the time you add it to your cart, not the time you saved it. We may remove saved builds that reference discontinued products.

6. Intellectual property

The Services and their content — including the 3D models, renders, product designs, text, and branding — are owned by SPEC Simulations or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from them except as the Services intentionally allow (for example, sharing a build link or a souvenir render of your build).

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services — including attempting to breach security, scrape data, interfere with other users, or use the Services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

8. Warranty

We warrant that our rigs and components will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of delivery. During this period we will, at our option, repair or replace a product that proves defective under normal use. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accident, unauthorized modification, or normal wear. Except as expressly stated, the Services and products are provided "as is", and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SPEC Simulations will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services or products. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SPEC Simulations harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
